Satisfactory Academic Progress

In order to receive financial aid, you must make progress toward your degree as defined by the Financial Aid Office. This refers to requirements to maintain eligibility for continued enrollment at the University at Buffalo, as well as for continued receipt of Federal and New York State Financial Aid.

Good standing is divided into Pursuit of Program and Satisfactory Academic Progress that are measures to determine whether you are progressing towards a degree at an acceptable pace. Criteria is significantly different for UB academic (Undergraduate Catalog), New York State and Federal Good Standing.
