Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG) program is for undergraduate students working on their first bachelor’s degree who demonstrate exceptional financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
SEOG eligibility is determined each year as a result of the Free Application of the Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Funds are limited, and awards are not guaranteed from one year to the next.
To qualify for the SEOG program you must have:
- Filed for your FAFSA by March 1st
- Be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant
- Be working on your first bachelor’s degree
- Meet income guidelines
Information is subject to change without notice due to changes in federal, state and/or institutional rules and regulations. Students must complete a FAFSA every year. Students must be making satisfactory academic progress to continue to receive financial aid.
