Grants

There are three categories of federal student aid: grants, work-study, and loans.

Grant money is generally awarded based on financial eligibility. Unlike loans, grants do not have to be repaid unless you are awarded funds incorrectly or you withdraw from school. Grant monies can come from many sources such as the federal and state government.

UB students may be eligible for several grants depending on if they are undergraduate or graduate students.

Information subject to change without notice due to changes in federal, state and/or institutional rules and regulations.
